Arts and Crafts oak side table, hexagonal top with chamfered edge on three pierced flat legs depicting stylised tulip design. This beautiful table crosses Arts and Crafts design with English Art Nouveau.

A simple elegant design expressing Liberty's aventguard new style a hint of Old English past with the simplicity of a paired down Arts and Crafts look to the future. Typical of Leonard Wyburd 's work for Liberty & Co. Sigebert was an English King of the East Angles (died 637ad). Liberty used ancient Kings names given to their Furniture as a form of marketing "Englishness" to there clients both at home and in the colonies.
